2010 Georgia Republican Primary

Just in case anyone cares, I thought I’d post my picks for the Republican Primary that culminates next Tuesday on July 20.  These are not necessarily endorsements, but I’ve met a lot of these candidates and I feel they are the best choice for working to bring back limited government and fiscal responsibility to Georgia.  You can get a sample ballot for your location at the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.

Statewide Races

Governor: Jeff Chapman
Secretary of State: Doug MacGinnitie
Attorney General: Max Wood

County/Local Races

State Senator District 31: Bill Heath
State Representative District 19: Daniel Stout*
Paulding District Attorney: Chad Plumley
Referendum on the SPLOST: NO

These are the only races I intend on filling in a vote for.  Some of the races are incumbents running unopposed (why bother listing them) and some are races I just don’t know anything about and refuse to voice an uneducated opinion on.

*A special note about Daniel Stout, he is a true small-government, cut-spending Republican that believes in local control and standing up for what is right even when it’s not popular under the Dome.  He has been endorsed by GA Right to Life and his voting record from the time he served in the last legislative session has received a 100% rating from Americans for Prosperity.  We couldn’t ask for a better representative for District 19 and I support him enthusiastically.
